Ok. I know I really shouldnt be here. But then winglin is down. And no one's on MSN.Examinations. Fondly known as Exams to us Singapore students. Well. In the dictionary, examinations are defined as a set of questions on paper to test their knowledge of a subject. Right. In our case, examinations are equals to TORTURE and SERIOUS MUGGING.Sometimes, staring at a book filled with facts and figures that sometimes might not be of any use in the future is just boring. I mean, like History. Why do you have to learn about the past, because it's the past? It's not like we are in the SAF or something and we have to learn about the tactics that the Japanese used to occupy us.I do like History ok. Especially the Japanese Occupation. Ok. I'm pretty sadistic. But then, here I'm talking from a general point of view, one that encompasses the views of people around my age that I know.I think that studying a subject that you enjoy can actually be fun. For example, people who love Chemistry will love to stare at Chem for maybe 3 to 4 hours at a go. Others dont mind having their brains filled with Algebraic figures and Formulas after the same amount of time of practising Mathematics.I guess everyone does have a subject that they love. Well, at least like. For me, I like Maths, Science, History and Literature-in-English. Even though I dont do that well in some of these subjects (I know my Lit sucks), but I still love them! I try to do well in these subjects.I think I'm more of a Maths, Science and Humanities person. I focus more on the earth and its principles, if you can say so. I have friends who are Languages people. Their English and Chinese is like WAHH. A1? No problem for them.How I wish I was an all-rounded person. However, that will never be the case as you will always be better in a few subjects, and these will be your forte.I'd better go study now. Hmm. If I cant do that well in the other subjects that I dont have much interest in, I must as well do better in the subjects I am pretty sure I can do well in.Mathematics. Chemistry. Physics. Biology.
